But muuuum....

That commercial is not funny...and I don't mean that in a PC way. It simply isn't all that funny.

Right but thats your opinion and others thought it was funny. I really have a problem with people being censored. I am very big into freedom of speech, rights etc. If a company wants to go with the ad why should we make them stop b/c some people feel offended?

Nobody is "making" them stop airing the spot and this is not a free speech/censorship issue.

As has already been said: this commercial should have been pulled for sucking, not for some percieved homophobia.

It's a double edged sword. You say you support people's rights, so they have a right to show the commercial. How about the rights of those who don't want to see two guys kiss? Is it ok to trample those people's rights?

Makes no difference what they do with the commercial to me. I saw it, thought it to be stupid, and moved on. Not surprised people made a stink about it though. Knew it would happen. :-b
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.
Sick of those who feel self-entitled.
Sick of those who are hypocrites.
Yes doctor, an army is forming.
Yes doctor, there will be a war.
Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Again... My favorite commercial from the lot. Couldn't stop laughing...

You know how I know you're gay...?

change the channel

That's such a cop out answer. Under that presumption, it's perfectly acceptable for me to use racism, religious bias, or any other form of offensive material to sell my product. Why not just have a bottle of Bud shoved half way up a pornstar's honeypot? What, you're offended by it? Change the channel, I'm not making you watch it. Eventually you actually have to take a stand somewhere, and draw the line, and it's no surprise, whether you agree with it or not, that this ad was pulled.

The guy in the commercial should've said:

"Dude, I think we just kissed! Not that there's anything wrong with that..."

Then there wouldn't be a problem. :-D

They aren't "making" them persay, but if they didn't they would make an even bigger stink over it, so in actuality they are forcing them to take the spot off. Again, you may think it sucks, but others found it funny and i am sure if there wasn't an uproar by this group they would have left it on

I understand that you don't think the spot should have been pulled, but the fact that it was in no way constitutes censorship or a violation of their free speech rights. The company decided that the ad would cost them more money in the long run than it makes for them. That's not censorship, it's business.

When I saw this relatively benign commercials (by today's standards anyway) I remember thinking just one thing..... I wonder which irrational and absurdly annoying group will start complaining first; the gays or the Christian-right.

Looks like it was the gays, but I have to love the irony though in something that can somehow piss off both! Haha.

reminds me of a joke i saw the other day

A husband and wife are sharing a bottle of wine, when the husband says "i bet you cant tell me something that will make me happy and sad at the same time"

The wife replies "you have a bigger wang than your brother"
