I have noticed that his average draft position seems to be #12-16, however I seem to have him more around the #4-#7 area, after Pujols, Reyes, and Soriano.
Before you jump all over me, consider that with our league settings, there are 3 utility spots: (5x5 roto)
Considering those settings does the whole DH not a position player argument get weakened a bit? With potential #'s (staying healthy) being 50 HR, 120 RBI, 100 runs, .315 avg he is a 4 category monster, even if he is SLOW. Granted he has had a couple of bizzare injuries from being hit by pitches, but all in all he is LESS of an injury risk while not playing the field...
Perhaps I am a bit too high on TRAVIS, but I think he will outperform Big Poppy and most of the other players being drafted before him. Do I need to change my thinking?
I think the only thing keeping him out of the first round is his position eligibility and health concern.

I don't know about that... I think that's two things.
Thing about Hafner - in a league with only one Util slot, he cuts down on your flexibility a lot, and really alters what you can do in the rest of the draft. Assuming he's healthy, though, he's definitely worth it. Late 1st round or early 2nd doesn't seem excessive for him. Personally, I like the flexibility of the Util slot and am unlikely to take him unless he's still hanging around in the late 2nd round.
(taps little picture of a microphone)... is this thing on?

Position eligibility involves the same thing you mentioned.
I think Hafner for the production is worth a mid-1st round pick. I'll agree with you in that respect, but considering that you can fetch a relatively productive 1B later in the draft (i.e. D. Lee, Konerko, Thome, Delgado), it's good to focus on not clogging your UTIL, especially when Hafner is DH-eligible. For the numbers he can provide, he is 1st round worthy though.
Pujols, ARod, M-Cab, Santana, Reyes, Howard, Soriano, Crawford, Vlad, Ortiz, Holliday, Manny, Berkman, Utley, Beltran could all be taken in front of him without much of an arguement from me.
