Carlos Almanzar - R - Texas Rangers Oct 30

Rangers signed RHP Carlos Almanzar to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Almanzar appeared in the majors each season from 1998-2002, but he was never called up by the Reds in 2003. His disappointment over not being brought up caused him to leave Triple-A Louisville for most of July. When active, Almanzar had a 3.50 ERA, 23 saves and a 54/3 K/BB ratio in 46 1/3 IP. Although he isn't likely to have a spot in the Texas bullpen at the start of the year, there's a good chance Almanzar will pitch for the Rangers at some point.

3 walks in 46 1/3 innings! 8-o 3!? 8-o Get him up here quick!
Yes doctor, I am sick.
Sick of those who are spineless.

Are you sure you don't want Chan Ho? A return to the NL might just be exactly what he needs.

Ok, you can sell him Chan Ho. Be patient. We need to get rid of him. Come on, figure out a way to convince him.

let him experiment on a Selig roster, MON, MIL or FLA first .. Then we can see. If he suceeds, Then he can come to the West ..
