Now that he is apparently healthy, and is actually on a team that WANTS him and isnt threatening to trade him, is there a chance that he rebounds and has a nice year if given full time OF spot in BAL?
.285 29HR 87 RBI 75 runs 3 SB statline possible?
He will be had MUCH later in drafts than the past several years this year... I think he will rebound nicely, I am just not sure with Payton, Markakis, Gibbons, and Patterson all in the OF will he play full time...
ive been burned by huff the last 2 years so i may be biased but i think that projection is almost a best case scenario. i used to think huff was a .300 hitter with power and multi-position eligibility to boot, but his avg has dropped off and it just seems he hasn't bounced back.
like you said, there is a crowded outfield in baltimore which may actually land him at 1b a bit more if they want to get his bat in over millars (so potentially he'd be 1b/3b/of elig)
i think he'd be a nice guy to have on your bench that can play a few positions...he's a notorious 2nd half player though, so it may be possible that he starts slow and heats up, although it's usually quite as hot as you'd like...
