Just wondering becuase I am starting a league and want everyone to be happy. I like drafting in mid March, a few weeks after ST starts and things shake out.

A day or two before the season starts is ideal IMO.

When we do online drafts we can usually do it, but when we meet for a live draft it's impossible getting a date that works for everyone, so we wind up drafting the first week or two of March.

I think the most fun if it's a party style setting is on one of the nights of the first or second round of March Madness. Draft, beer and bracket busting all in one night makes for a good time.

Yeah, I try to draft as close to opening day as possible, but that doesn't usually work as I get too impatient. :*)

as close to the season as possible - there's nothing more frustrating than having a guy who gets hurt in ST...

yeah i like in person drafts as well, but its always hard getting a time good for everyone. another negative i dislike is that its sometimes hard to maintain who was selected during the draft and time limits etc...not that its a big deal, but my drafts are usually about 23 rds or so, making it very very long...

as early as possible; we just finished up our keeper league draft on sunday. makes things interesting...also its nice to do it before the yahoo rankings come out because people have to do more work on their own

then you miss all the first day's stats...i remember staying up until 5am to watch the yanks vs the drays in japan just because i had a few players on opening day...i love opening day. without my roster handy, it would take alot away from it...day before would be good though ;-D
