Little screwed up big time but they shelled out $500,000 for their manager. Where talking about the Boston Red Sox here. Those guys can crucify Grady all they want but they got what they paid for.
Well, Grady was their choice. Remember he was hired when there was a lot going on in Boston and a lot of people didn't want the job without knowing what was going on with management.
And Grady accepted the first offer the team made--he didn't even try to negotiate. So I think your premise is off.
Tom Kelly won't coach the team, at least with Ortiz there, and potentially Walker. They hate the man.
I don't think we need a big name, just the right guy. Although I like Valentine, if people can get around this aura of people hating him. I think he is one of the few who can handle the city and the job.
I'm back. Sorta.
Do not boo Johnny.
