There is absolutely 0 chance of Gomes becoming a star in MLB. If he goes to the short fields of Japan, he possibly could, but not the MLB.

if russel branyan is starting he might be abke to start
maybe he will close fore Texas once their entire bullpen goes down
Gomes closing .... hahaha.
and I swear I meant to say cantu there to. he might be a DH for................ uh....... us....... no one else has a worse DH........... crap.......... you right........
He could DL for NL teams during inter-league play. I remember one game between the Marlins and the Rays, the Marlins had Damion Easley filling the role -- never have I seen a less intimidating DH in my baseball watching life (though I don't watch a lot of AL games). Though he did hit a home run that game.
Cantu and Gomes may not make the team. News is that it may be one or the other, but both could be gone as well. Neither one is having a good day either.

That is absolute great news, but I imagine some of the Ray fans over at RaysBaseball.com will be absolutely sick as they have a high feeling for Cantu and Gomes both.
