Can you do a keeper mock or just a regular mock?
I'm not really sure how a keeper mock draft would really work. How have you seen it done on other sites? If you're doing a mock with random people, you just let each team take out 2 or 3 players and put them on their roster right away? And not allow duplicates? There just seems like so many problems with that kind of mock draft that I don't think it would be smooth.
If I were you, I wouldn't say 'there's going to be an eight-team, a 12-team, etc live draft', I'd put by each draft when exactly it is.
I think that is how the mock drafts work on espn.com, right? What I thought about doing instead is allowing teams that are already in the league to attach "dummy teams" to the open spots so they can start the draft whenever they want. So if you come on the site at 3am and nobody else is around, you can do a Fast Live draft right then. Just by clicking 1 link you can fill up the draft and start.
Each draft is replaced with a new one whenever one fills.
So what would everyone prefer? Saying exactly when each draft starts, or having drafts start when they are full?
Do you have the means of recording draft results and displaying average draft position and other information taken from your drafts in place? And any plans to include an auction version?
Those are the only things missing from the pay draft sites that I can see (and I don't know if there is one that does both draft and auction yet).
Great job!
As for recording and displaying average draft positions. Yes. I will have a page set up after things get going that will do all that kind of stuff.
Auctions... I really haven't thought of doing that. Are mock baseball auctions really big? I think I'll have to add that sometime.
