i am going to say no. Because Gordon has so much potenial. But the best case of either Baily or Garza is that they devolp into a chris carpenter (so you trade them for him if you can), do if it would be possible to do the trade with gordon, you make it.
"I do not think baseball of today is any better than it was 30 years ago... I still think Radbourne is the greatest of the pitchers." John Sullivan 1914-Old athletes never change.
I would shy away from this one. You've got two excellent prospects in Homer Bailey and Alex Gordon who are both going to be in the big leagues this year in all likelihood. Garza will be there too and although he doesn't project to be as good as Bailey, he should still be an effective SP.
*I believe Clayton Kershaw is the same kind of talent as Bailey. Although Bailey is closer and therefore is probably the better bet.
*Right now Carpenter is the better pitcher between him and Garza. However, no one really knows how good Garza can be.
*Alex Gordon is the superior prospect by a mile. There's no real comparison between the two.
I honestly think you have to keep what you have. I don't like this deal for you. I absolutely love Gordon's potential to be one of if not the best 3rd baseman over the next 5 years.
