Our commish added in three categories (pts based h2h league)..OF assists, Catcher caught stealer (both postive points), and a PB (negative points) ..are we going to far with the stats..i think so, i dont like the move personally... is more better?

It's baseball...there's a ton of crazy stats in this game. I say go for it, all the crazy stats baseball has to offer is why fantasy baseball is so much better then fantasy football.
