3rd pick... who??

ok, so if i pick santana with my 3rd pick.. with my next pick (10th) i think i should probably go with cabrera because crawford reyes and ortiz will probably be gone, based on what i know. if cabrera is gone, is a 10th pick to early to go with vlad?

one thing im worried about doing in this draft is going with guys i value early and then when i go to trade, my players in terms of what everyone else thinks may not be good enough to get what i want fairly.

with 3 strikeout categories, you gotta target pitchers with high strikeout rates. santana, sheets, zambrano, peavy, myers, etc. hitters like dunn, helton and brian giles will probably be very underrated.
check out fantasysportscentral.com. i dont think the site is very user friendly, but you can run custom rankings (with their projections) for any league type you like. so you can specify a 6 man league with your categories. that should def help.

if you could go santana at 3, cabrera at 10 and sizemore at 15, I’d say you’d be off to a huge start…

and don’t worry so much about trade value, just draft well. If you’re in 1st place you wont have to worry so much about trading.

since its a 6 man league, i would just take santana since there will be so many bats left the whole draft.. but theres only one santana ;-D and he fits very well in your league settings

hate to say it, but arod is the way to go.... too much talent surrounding him in NY... Sure to be a .300/35/110/20 ... although i have Ortiz charted higher than A-rod.. food for thought... also, there is always Chase Utley... his numbers will rival arod
