With beerdog finally dragging his butt in here :-b, here's what we've got so far....

1. seancasey21
2. williesd
3. tzarro dropped out
4. mbuser
5. GIANTbeerdog
6. oscar15
7. thomasps3
8. TheRock
9. Old_Style
10. Snakes Gould added 2/23. Welcome aboard!

still waiting to hear from
11. emb0lus
12. free

Meaning we have one spot left, maybe 3. free as you may recall didn't get back to us til the last possible moment last year. I think we actually skipped him first round. Hopefully he'll be here before long. emb0lus has to show up, he's one of our few remaining 4 year guys.

So we've had one request to join, if you guys have contacts that are looking for a good league let me know (did I just call us a good league?). Would prefer guys who have an established history here at the cafe or you have played with before. Of course they need to be made aware of the expectations for drafting in a timely manner, keeping up with their team, letting me win, etc.

Got an e-mail from my friend tzarro saying he's too busy to play this year. So we definitely have two holes. If any of you guys know people here at the cafe or through other leagues that are looking, bring them on by.

Our other two guys haven't made an appearance at the cafe yet this season, starting to think we've lost then as well.

I'd like everyone to check out couchmanagers.com, I'm seriously thinking about doing the bulk of the draft there and parroting the results back here. It has an auto-queue and built in 12 hour timer that would save us countless hours and headaches. I think unless someone has serious objections we'll proceed with that, but check it out please.

Already have, it looks good. I also have a promo code for mockdraftcentral for a free seven day trial, so if we could get everyone together for a "real" draft there, then we could just use their software, but couchmanagers is something that looks pretty good.....

I 2nd the idea of having the draft at couchmanagers.com

I wonder why yahoo doesn't offer a slow draft option?

I would also like to say that we leave the league rules the same as last year. Some people might have already started researching based on last years rules. :-°

A post season "meeting" here at the cafe would be best time to change rules for next year.

I don't have any contacts to fill the open spots...sorry.

Checked out couchmanagers.com - looks interesting! Should solve some of the problems we have had the last couple of years, i.e time clock, already picked players, etc. It appears they are still having some minor start-up adjustment issues, but the site looks promising. Oscar and Rock already have some experience at the site, so if they recommend it, I say we give it a shot.

I'm setting a March 1 deadline to finalize the league. Hopefully emb0lus and free can find us by then if they want in this year. So we have between 2 and 4 spots open. I posted an ad in the classifieds and received several replies, so we'll be full no problem.

I'm setting up another poll for draft dates. I think if we run it at couchmanagers and copy the results back here we can finish in about a week, maybe less. I know some are chomping at the bit to get it done, whereas some may want to wait til closer to opening day. So we'll put it to a vote.

So we have a new member guys. Welcome Snakes Gould, he of the mean streets of Philadelphia. Let's welcome him to the Leftover League, with a rude awakening and a last place finish!

Welcome Snakes, here's to seeing you in the cellar in September!
