I like both a lot but I like South Park more. For those of you who say South Park is too moronic, you obviously do not understand. Like acs said SP is a satire, it makes fun of society in a clever way. Several celebrity guests and spin-offs on real life situations. Family Guy is well like acs said, mostly fart jokes. Now that I look at my argument im not sure why i didnt just quote what acs said lol.

Fart jokes, chicken fights, and completely random flashbacks.

Family Guy by a healthy margin.

South Park just plain blows. I've never made it through an entire episode. Awful Awful Awful.

From 1999 to 2002 I liked Family Guy more, but with their absence for so many years, and South Park growing into more of a satire over that time, I started to watch enjoy it far more than anything Family Guy is doing right now (In my opinion since they came back nearly 2 years ago, it has been funny, but not anywhere near where it was in their prime). South Park has quickly become one of my favorite shows on TV. I think it's a huge contradiction for a Family Guy fan to say that South Park is too moronic for themselves, though. I mean while funny for the most part, a majority of FG's jokes consist of random flashbacks that aren't even related to the plot.

I like South Park more for the reasons ACS, jags, and weir stated. South Park has evolved into the type of comedy that can afford to look moronic on one level but be good satire as well. I loved Family Guy the first couple of seasons when it wasn't quite the ratings draw regardless of the fact it offended a good share of folks for its time, a la South Park. Ever since Family Guy became a continuous series again, it just seems like it feels a bit more watered down, not to the extent that The Simpsons became more mainstream-friendly, but I get the feeling that the show has a little touch with the current Simpsons formula in it.

acs hit it right on the head. I just got shivers saying that, but it's true regardless.

Easily Family Guy. South Park used to be decent. Not anymore. Family Guy still has plenty of funny moments.
