Free agent update: Outfielders Doug Glanville, Troy O'Leary and Tom Goodwin have each filed for free agency.

And Cubs fans around the country are celebrating.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....

Useless Trivia of the day
England's Worcester Canoe Club set the world record for paddling a hand-propelled bathtub. The 25 man team covered a distance of 55 miles, 425 yards in 24 hours on September 28 and 29, 1979.
I would think they could spend their money better elsewhere than getting Oswalt. Not to say he wouldn't be a welcome addition but the starting rotation isn't exactly an area they need help. I'd rather see them get Urbina or some other closer/set-up man, plus the Pudge rumors are starting again. Even if he doesn't produce big numbers he's shown that his mere presence in a clubhouse can be a huge asset, oh yeah and he's not too bad of a catcher either.
