Its basically the batting average and better lineup that drives Holliday's value over Bay so I can see waiting on Bay if he's going a full round later than Holliday, I haven't really looked at ADP much yet.
At first, didn't sound like such a big deal ... however:
Holliday hit .334 with 34 homers and 82 RBIs from the No. 4 spot last year. Batting fifth, Holliday batted .286 with six homers and 19 RBIs.
Not the end of the world, but worth mentioning especially since so many of you making a big deal about switching Bay in the BA. Do with this what you will, just an FYI.
Im still going with Holliday over Bay for what it is worth.
Remember this debate at the beginning of the year? My buddy and I argued over this for a long time; I took Holliday with the 2nd pick of the 3rd round and he took Bay with the next pick. Obviously, I didn't expect as huge a gap as there is at the end of the season, but I've busted my friend's balls all year about that pick. I've turned it up lately because of how huge Holliday's been during the fantasy playoffs.

Jason Bay's knee pretty much did this argument in. I don't think he's ever going to be the fantasy force he was because the loss of speed will take a few points off the average and more importantly take away almost all of those crucial stolen bases.

The thing is, even if Bay were healthy and playing well there's no way he would be touching Holliday this year. Guys been a beast and is a first round pick next year and most likely the #1 OF taken.

I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I'd still take Vlad first in the OF. Beltran too, maybe...
