i got them when the Giants were kicked out (NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!, Snow was safe!!!)

Giles will sleep slightly, in many drafts, merely because he made it to the bigs with a little more ear hair than your standard joe.

His late MLB birth is oftenly subconciously a negative conotation, for all sorts of semi-knowledgable fantasy owners.

On top of the former, Giles was injured for part of last season.

Look for him to sleep slightly up until March, when all those egocentrically biased writers, from the East Coast, can no longer restist the urge to write about what a stellar franchise The Padres are shaping up to be, opposed to the other 4,000 articles you will see from them on the Red Soxs and Yankees.

I really doubt that happens. Kendall has a very expensive contract. The Padres will acquire a catcher through free agency.

As to your question, pretty simple, he was injured last year. Brian Giles is a stud, everyone knows it, but we also know that no one was going to use a high pick for him. Something else, and I'm not going to say anyone in our draft, but a lot of owners will overlook him due to the injury. Why use a 3rd round pick, when you know you can get him in the 4th? Those are the picks that win championships. :-)
