That's another 4 years from now. Arod's guaranteed contract is for 7 years.

At the time he signed the contract, I thought it was a good deal. Remember that Manny Ramirez had just signed an 8 year, 160 million dollar deal as well.

Now the deal doesn't look so good. The bottom fell out of the market and the Rangers are paying the price.
