batting help

5x5 with weekly changes. No reserves only 2 injured reserves (Currently occupied). Pitching has improved but batting is slumping.

C- A.J/Toby (I-rod on IL)
1B- Delgado
2B- E. Young (Drop him since have Spivey?? Will Spivey be a good fantasy player? Also could put Catalonotto since I've taken a liken to him)
3B- Ventura (Grab Aramis instead?? Is he going to recover? Zeile?)
SS- Tejada
OF - L. Walker, Berk, A. Jones, J.D, Erstad,
U - R. Palmeiro, Spivey

Stick with Tejeda at SS--he'll be top 5 in SS's for Fantasy baseball at end of season.

Drop E. Young and play Spivey--though there's a chance Spivey will falter second half. I'd take the risk.

Drop Erstad and pick up Randal Simon (you'll have to replace Spiv's place on the util with Simon once you move Spiv to 2B) --looks like Erstad's career is waning. Simons' is waxing.

Look for another 3B.

You'll need another OF to replace Erstad. Of those you listed, it's a toss up. I'd take a chance on Kearns for another week to see what he does, then probably pick up Burks.

Eric Young worries lots of fantasy owners right now, he will be fine, but Spivey is the better option now! Look for another 3B.

Chicago is right. Spivey might get into a slump and Eric Young might heat up and may not be available then. But Spivey is a much better option for now!

Your 3B choices don't make me yeehaw! Consider playing a hot guy and exchanging them.

Erstad had a nice week now so you might want to keep him, especially as the free agents are no safe bets either!

I agree with the above except for one thing: I actually like Zeile at 3rd. He isn't as valuable in leagues with weekly lineup changes (and no bench) as in leagues where you can maximize the Coors effect, but his overall numbers should be solid.

I'd also go with Spivey at 2b, use Zeile at 3rd, get Kearns for your utility slot, but be prepared to cut him if his playing time sinks, and give Erstad another week or so - if he disappoints, go for Simon or Burks.
