Better known as "The Creature" from Moneyball, David Beck looked to be coming along fine, K'ing a batter an inning or more in the low minors, and then "voluntarily retired in 2003" according to the Baseball Cube.
Anyone know what happened to the guy or remember reading anything about him?

I googled David Beck Moneyball and came up with this:

I doubt this thread is very active but I know what happened to David Beck. I married him. I am not sure what "mental issues" he supposedly has but that is far from true anyway. As far as his baseball career, if anyone is still interested post again and I will see if he wants to answer any questions regarding it. I know of a few circumstances that caused him to put baseball on the back burner. He still loves the game and he still has that arm... I know- I have been hit by one of his snowballs- I dont snowball fight with him any more.
