Third worst ratings ever...

Yup, this World Series was ranked the third lowest ever, according to TV ratings. Goes to show that despite the play on the field, the teams do matter. (Despite the David v. Goliath appeal, who wants to see the Yankees there again? Who wants to see the firesale team?)
I'm back. Sorta.

But the ratings did go up from last year. Now had it been the Cubs/Sox, the ratings would have been through the roof! :-B

The need some World Series day games. The first World Series night games wasn't held until 1971 and now no more day games?

Agreed. Why night games even on weekends? Makes no sense.

Right on. Why play Saturday at night? Only die hard fans will watch. Play during the afternoon and everyone will watch.

i for one boycotted the WS. i did NOT want to see the yanks there again. i saw plenty of them in there over the last 7 years or so to keep me sick for a lifetime.

maybe more people took this approach, which would explain the horrendus ratings. we all loved the whole postseason, mainly the championship series, and the ratings showed it.
theyre coming.....

I've said it before and I'll say it again. What the Yankees have done is bad for baseball as a whole.

I think that we can all agree that a Sox vs. Cubs series would have been the BEST ever...
