Improving League Questions (Please Help)

I am a commissioner of a Roto 5x5 Mixed Team League. We have an auction draft of a $260 budget. My question is as follows, how could I implement an in-season salary cap to offset unfair trading? Any suggestions would help.

In addition, we dont have a 1250, 1500 or 1800 Maximum innings pitched. Instead we have a 180 Game Start Max, which of course allows teams to stockpile MR's. But why would INNINGS Max be better?

We just keep the $260 cap throughout the year.

I don't have experience with max innings, instead we use a limit on transactions to prevent teams from picking up two start pitchers each week.

Any other people have any ideas how to have an in-season salary cap??

we are going to an in season cap of $360. we are doing this to prevent the lopsided trades of high priced talent for $1 keepers. Tracking is going to be a nightmare for the commisioner so we have set up a penalty structure of $10 off next years starting salary for the team that goes over. We have unlimited trades I figure the Commisioner will go bald by the end of the seasons.

I would not put in a salary cap. The fun of leagues is trading and if you are out of it stockpiling young talent. The market will correct itself if you have good owners.

If you do a cap, do free agents count towards it, do you have a FAAB budgter or waiver process? All things need to be considered, but I would leave it alone.
