I thought I might have a few more Lee backers but I can't complain either way really, they are back to back in my OF rankings so I wouldn't disagree with anyone who takes Manny.
LOL, better luck next time Jason
You have to bring in controversial topics such as position scarcity in order for this to be interesting.
I was thinking the same thing when I made this topic. Here you go then.....

Why would you say that? I don't see a significant drop off. He's durable, consistent and puts up excellent overall numbers. And he plays a thin position (just kidding). I'd take Jeter.

Well in this case, it depends on what you see as a significant dropoff.
2006
.346 118 14 97 34
2005
.318 122 19 70 14
That was a huge jump in production, and I just can't see it happening again, especially the SB's now that the Yankee's Lineup is healthy.
Heres what I think he'll be around for '07
.320 120 15 70 15
Still a good year for sure, But i'd rather have Lee for the HR and RBI

Note: This is Carlos Guillen production, plus five or so SB (the extra runs and the lesser RBI kinda cancel out).
Shhhh... dont tell anyone about him.
But really, its gonna be tough for Guillen to repeat those numbers again this season. He had troubles with injuries all of his career and didnt miss much time last season, so that certainly is a risky situation. With Jeter, you know what you're gonna get everytime, thats why he's such a value.
