which yankee has a big ego?
i havent heard any negative stories about any of their players
none of the primadonna antics of pedro or manny
no cheating like sammy
no bar fights
no trash talking
no sharpies
so, again, i ask... where are these egos? stop projecting your hatred into things that arent there.

Hmm.....Nelson beating up a groundskeeper comes to mind......
Garcia jumping the wall to stomp on a man on the ground surrounded by Yankees come to mind...........
Zimmer running around the entire field of players to take a swing at Pedro comes to mind.........yes, you can write that one off if you don't think management should represent the team.........
Don't forget. I have zero hatred toward the Yankees. All teams have guys who do stupid things, including the Yankees. No team is full of model citizens.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
First off, as a lifelong Yankee fan, this loss didn't hurt-tell you why...these weren't the Yanks. The great teams of a few years back, with very few exceptions were all acquired through trades or the farm team. You look at the good Yankees on the team, they were all farm team guys (Petite, Jeter, Posado, Williams, Soriano) as apposed to Cashman indoctranies (Weaver, Hammond, Contreras, (yet to be proven) Boone, etc.). Steinbrenner goes through these phases every 7 years or so...but he hasn't learned-and I look forward to Steve Bass/Steve Balboni again.
You just can't buy a championship...see the O's and Mets (sorry DK). Yankees players are clutch gamers...from Ford to Dimmagio, Ruth to Leyritz. Giambi, Matsui? Don't think so. This loss hurt, but you kind of saw it coming. This wasn't a good TEAM, which the Marlins were...and unless you're the '97 Marlins, you just can't win this way. All in all, as any Yank fan will tell you...the crushing win over the Sox, enforces years more of Sox self-destruction...which is worth more than any series win.
26 Championships....Amazing...714 HR's...spectacular...56 game hit streak...never to be duplicated...Ooooh fer 1918...priceless

Wrveres...certainly I don't put Leyritz within the pantheon of Yankee greats-but if there is a player responsible for the current run, it's gotta be him. '96 against the Braves, about to get knocked out of the series, and that big-headed bat-twirling freakshow cranks one out-that's clutch...that's all I'm saying.
Besides...what fun is brining up Babe, Bucky, Buckner, and Boone...ALL the time...they should only be brought up once a week (daily in September/October).
Meantime, I'll be looking forward to an active off-season Here's to trading away everyone from Doug Drabek to Mike Lowell (it's not just Bags/Schilling anymore).
Someone resurect Paul O'Neil. Oh what's that...there have been some good free agent signing in Yankee history other than Winnie...almost forgot about everyone's 2nd favorite Hideki flop (see Toad).
Don't hate the Yanks, hate the Steinbrenner.

You have been one of our "lurking guests" huh? Seems like you know some of us quite well. A double? No problem.
Glad to have you aboard!

I'm guessing a wrestling fan? Don't worry, I'm one too.
