We're about to get underway. Should be another good game.

If McKeon leaves him in too long, then I'll probably be one of the ones to say it.
Right now though, it's 1-0 Marlins, going to the 6th. Beckett has thrown around 63 pitches in the first 5 innings.
GO FISH!

Marlins get 2 hard-earned runs. No reason to take beckett out if he's doing fine; he won't be pitching again for a while. His pitch count is miniscule.
Beckett has thrown 72 pitches through 6 innings. i think he's good until at least the mid-8th. After that... well lets see if the fun Marlins bullpen has any surprises instore. I personally do not forsee the Yankees going down this quietly.

I agree. Beckett is looking just fine right now. As always on short rest, you have to keep an eye on him though.

I'm worried. If Mckeon leaves Beckett past 85-90 pitches, I'll get worried. I'm trying to trade him in a keeper league and this kind of WS winning performance could really boost his value.
Zack Greinke...the next Greg Maddux. LOOK IT UP!
For what it's worth.

If Beckett throws 120 like Pedro, and starts to get hit like Pedro, then yea you could compare the two. I think McKeon is the anti-Little. He pulls his guy (Pavano), whos pitching a gem, because mgrs have this idea closers have to pitch the 9th with a lead. McKeon has kept his team loose and believing. I give him credit. We have had to listen for 7 years how great Torre is.
