My 12 team 6X6 Yahoo H2H league wants to eliminate complete games as a category. As the commish of the league, I'm trying to come up with a new category. Does anyone know if Yahoo allows K/9 or Quality Starts as a pitching category? Even better, does anyone know or have a link to Yahoo's available pitching categories?

I'm not a fan of K/9 if you have K's too. K/BB might be better, if you want a ratio. Holds adds value to middle relievers and even if it isn't perfect, I like the category because of this.

QS No

Unfortunately dont have any links
may have to wait til they open

K/9 may be too much of an overlap with K itself (assuming you have that). WHat about holds (unless not warm to middle relievers)

Losses may be another option

Total Bases Allowed is a nice stat to consider maybe K/BB or HR allowed as well

Holds... no overlap with other pitching categories.

Thanks for the info. People in my league really want to have Quality Starts as the category to replace Complete Games. The problem is they prefer Yahoo and don't want to switch to CBS Sportsline which offers Quality Starts as a category. I ran Holds by as a replacement category for Complete Games but they didn't like it. I think we'll just stick with the status quo. :-/

note in the link above that these are the rules for the 06 season - all trade deadlines are from a year ago. I hope I hope I hope that Yahoo updates this for 07 - i'd love to see QS in the mix!
