Um...I doubt it. Chulk fits to be more of a MR guy. He led the AL in stranding inherited runners in 2005, a stat that favors a position like MR.
I don't think he has the right stuff to be a closer. He doesn't have overly dominating stuff. We've seen plenty of closers have some success with that, but they usually have very good command, something Chulk hasn't proved yet.
If he learnd to trust his stuff, particularly his fastball, he can further improve into an elite MR guy, but I just don't see him closing out games consistently.
