He asked to rank catchers. If he's targeting a catcher and Salty doesn't look like he's going to stay at catcher, that has to be factored into the ranking.

why even add his name to the list then? salty is the better catching prospect, and thats the question that was asked

Salty is the better overall prospect and is, currently, the best catching prospect, but has a not insignificant chance of being moved off catcher to another position.

I would still rank him with catchers because he hasn't been moved off, but the fact that he's likely to move has to be factored in.

I'd probably still put him first, but if I was drafting with the intention of having a catcher, I wouldn't count on him.

Exactly. Especially with LaRoche being dealt Salty looks to be headed for 1B

I'd rank them:

-Iannetta - like him a lot.

-Clement - Upside is nice but last year gave me doubts and he could move off Catcher.

-Montero - I almost put him second. I compare him to McCann in the sense that he could really have a breakthru season w/ around 20 Hrs, .300 Avg. And he's a great defensive catcher so this means he aint moving. Complete catcher.

-Salty - has anyones stock fallen more in a year? Bad work habits. ...reports of overweight. Blocked by McCann.
