Prospect Draft Help

Hi,

In a 16 team keeper league minor league (<150 ab) draft.

We draft 8 prospects, can keep 4 of them, max 5 years

I have pick#8 and #25 on the snake. Having never done a minor league draft I'm not very studied in my prospects, but have been brushing up on them the last couple of weeks.

6x6 - AVG, HR, RBI, OPS, SB, H
W, L, WHIP, ERA, HLD, SV

Mostly concerned about the age and health of my offense, particularly infield..here is current lineup:

C - Jorge Posada (NYY)
1B - Derek Lee (CHC)
2B - Jeff Kent (LAD)
3B - Scott Rolen (STL)
SS - Edgar Renteria (ATL)
LF - Hideki Matsui (NYY)
CF - Mike Cameron (SDP)
RF - Vladamir Guerrero (LAA)
OF - Chris Duffy (PIT)
DH - Travis Hafner (CLE)
BN - Ken Griffey Jr (CIN)

Who do you think i should target in these picks? I am thinking about Evan Longoria as I have read he should come up as a 2B. But how high should i reach for him? 8th overall pick too early for him? Will he be there on the snake? I just don't see any other 2B prospects that project anywhere close to him.

Any other prospects I should target, maybe at SS. I am thinking of trying to get a couple really good "thin" position prospects out of this draft. Thinking it is possible Maybe, Bruce or Butler will be around for the 1st pick. Should i take them over Longoria? Any others to look for?

If Brandon Wood or Stephen Drew are available at #8, I would rather have them than Longoria.

I would assume, Bailey, Hughes, Gordon, Young, Wood, Drew, Dice K are going to be gone...

Longoria might be a 2B, but with Tampa's prospects anything is possible. He probably is a year or two from being a major league player. At the same tiem, he won't make it to pick 25.

Best possibilities at 8 are probably Butler or Maybin.

That being said....Is there anyone I should target in the draft (even in the later rounds) that most likely will be a middle infielder? I'm fairly confident Rolen and Lee will put up solid numbers for at least a few more years, and the same with Vlad, Hafner, and Matsui. I'm fine with Kent and Renteria for this year, but would like a middle infield prospect that will likely make a big impact sooner than later. Any names in mind...how about Brignac?
