Next Sox manager...THE RETURN OF DON ZIMMER!! AHHHHH! He and pedro can go at it everyday then! Hilarious.

Seriously though...who the hell are we gonna get for next year? I highly doubt Torre will leave New York, sweet as that may be...other than that I haven't heard anything. I wouldn't expect Bruce Bochy just because the Padres are supposed to be REAL good with their new lineup and new stadium next year.

Its kind of a shame to see Grady have to go...up until the playoffs I didn't have a problem with him...then game 1 at Oakland was just the worst managing job I ever saw and it barely got better. The thing I DO like about Grady though is that the players love him. This sox team was about having fun and they thrived on that attitude and Grady was a good guy to have around for that kind of thing. As far as making decisions though, he was one banana short of a sundae and that was unacceptable..if they could bring him back and have him just be a bench coach or somethign that would be great, but I don't see that happening....

as far next years manager though, I nominate...Me and Trans. At least we can't be worse than little!
Rest in peace Mitch Hedberg. I name my fantasy team "Buoyancy of Citrus", in your honor.

You know this is kinda funny. I posed this question to a few co-workers. They are at best simple fans. You know .. 3-4 games a year, will watch a game on TV as long as "Survivor" is not on. never play roto never read the sports page... Those type's ....

Anyways .. I mentioned it to them that there was a rumor of Bochy going to Boston, All of them said pretty much the same thing ... ... "Bruce and Tony" ARE the San Diego Padres, "One in the same" "Bruce only thinks he is going to Boston" LOL .. ...

Thats is how deep Bruce runs in this town ... Tony deep ....

He would be a fool to leave..
