this is pretty old news...David Cross really weighed in on Larry and his "act" about a year ago...i'd search for and post a link but it contains some coarse language...worth checking out though, it can probably be found on Bobanddavid.com

To reiterate the main points here:

1) Larry the Cable Guy is not his true persona, however, he sucks regardless.

2) The rest of that show is not funny either, except for Ron White.

3) Someone brought up Carlos Mencia. My feelings on him were summed up perfectly by this Facebook group: "Name a comedian that's less funny than Carlos Mencia. Wrong."

I never really thought Larry the Cable Guy was really like that... Some of his stuff is funny but most is pretty dumb and stupid.

Still I'm not surprised it's an act. Lots of actors do, act, and say things to achieve a goal in their acting careers. Larry is a comedian and uses the whole red neck thing to make things funny. Or at least try to. Heck the whole reason they are actors/comedians is they can do and act like things they are not.

Haha, I just saw this about the Carlos Mencia and Joe Rogan thing on the Superficial. The video's on there too.

I mean how do you steal other people's material and still manage not to be funny? It'd be like robbing a bank and ending up with a giant bag full of dead chickens. Score!

LOL...seeing Larry the Cable Guy in that mullet and khakis makes me think that he like a pro wrestler of comedy. Changing the act every few years. My wife and I think he is drop dead funny because sometimes we just don't want to think during comedy sets. Also, as posted earlier, his mullet act and Larry act sound the same.

Mencia is God-awful. He is Paul Rodriguez rehashed and with an over-the-top vulgarity factor.
