live in or near nyc? will draft from scratch. in person draft. 10 team, 5 by 5, al only auction style roto league (runs, sb, avg, hr, rbi, wins, saves, era, ratio, ks)----1 year format with redraft- 23 man rosters, 16 active players. 10 hitters, 6 pitchers. money league. if anyone is interested contact me for more info, looking only for quality, experienced owners who can attend draft. .......will do a keeper league too if there is enough interest..

hi, my name is tom, 10 team al only, 1 year league. we did nl only last year. Very competitive, all quality owners. no shadyness allowed whatsoever. Trades are scrutinized for fairness. All roto vets, no friends coworkers boys club type deal. Most are people like you i contacted last year to create the league. we had 10 guys last year. 1 guy quit because his late august miguel cabrera and scott olson for scott rolen (injured), oliver perez, and scot linebrink deal was obviously shot down.( there will be a vote on a earlier trade deadline for this year at draft) the other owner was removed for consistently making poor trades that required league action. ( he finished last and neglected his team) he will be replaced with someone new for this year as well. its auction style, 260 per team. draft will be at my home on staten island. i chose march 25th but some owners have expressed interest in possibly moving that up a week to allow more time for trading before the season starts, but most likely the 25th now.

quick overview-
10 team al only 1 year league
23 man rosters
10 starting hitters (c, 1b, 2b, ss, 3b, 3 of, 2 dh that can be any position)
6 pitchers ( could be starters or relievers)
basic 5* 5 roto, hr, rbi, runs, avg, sb, wins, saves, era, whip, k
buyin is 300, every penny goes to payout pot except fee for stats site. used tqstats last year.
payout 1st= 60 percent, 2nd = 30 percent, 3rd= 10 percent
player eligibility is position most played last year, adding for 20 games played at new position this year
if player gets traded to nl he "is dead"
if player gets traded to al he is a free agent and open to bidding process
you have an additional 260 to spend on free agents during the season, it will be auction style as well through blind bidding, no limit to adds or drops weekly
no disabled list
trades are only required to be fair
monday- Sunday stats periods
we use tq stats, standings update daily, private web site, message board, etc.
draft should take about 4 hours or so. will have food and beer here.

if you like competitive leagues, this should be right up your alley. real good group of guys most 20 year vets. any other questions let me know I am also trying to put together a 12 team mixed keeper the same way, but only have 6 comittments as of now. but the al only is a definite go. hope this info helps make your decision
