James Loney and Felix Pie

What are everyone's thoughts on this guy and roughly what round should he be drafted in for a minor League Draft.

Also is the 3rd round too early to Draft Felix Pie?

I personally don't really like loney and in most leagues hes not even considered a prospect but i cant see him going any sooner than 3rd round earliest if he is...

I don't really like either - I think Pie is only rated somewhat high because he used to be highly regarded. I'd stay away from him. Loney is gonna run into some problems if he wants to make the majors in the Dodger organization. They have a really talented, crowded infield.

What kind of draft is it?

If it is a first year minor league draft with 15 or more teams then it is a good time to draft Pie.

It is a 1st year draft with 12 teams. I drafted 1st overall so I already got Delmon Young.

Pie is a 5 tool guy with lots of potential, just needs to work on his on-base skills and pitch selection. Should be a big time rookie of the year candidate in 2008.

I agree, but Pie is a less risky pick than some of the players that would be rated ahead of him. Depending on roster spots available and risk aversion, Pie might be worth a 3rd round pick, and I wouldn't let him slip past 4th.
