I won't be able to buy a new TV until sometime during the summer, but I thought I should start looking into it now. This might be tough/impossible but I want an LCD or HDTV around 20"-30" that will be good for gaming and watching TV. Here is the tricky part, I can't spend more than $500. Any help or possible purchases would be greatly appriciated. Below are a couple of TVs, would they be any good?

You can get smaller LCD TV's for pretty cheap if you find a good sale. My roommate bought a 20" for 200 bucks.
However, my recommendation would be to get a HDTV Flat Screen Tube TV if you have the space. I just got a 360 for Christmas, and I then was able to buy a 32" HDTV Samsung used (less than 2 years old) for 250 bucks. It's amazing quality and a great size too.

I have space for just about anything. 32" HDTV for 205 bucks Pretty much I want the biggest and nicest TV I can get for cheap.

Yeah, it's a great TV. Granted, it was used, but it is in mint condition and still was only 2 years old. It retailed at 1000 brand new, but now with the shift to flat panel LCD you can get a great HDTV tube TV for cheap.

If you have the space, get an LCD/DLP rear projection TVs. They usually cost a lot less and the quality is pretty much equal. But you can't hang them on the wall or anything but...
HDTVs are nice to have in general. There is a lot of programming that can be viewed in HD especially sports and I have a hard time watching non-HD programs now. Being able to play games is just a bonus.
