With the injuries to Rivera and McPherson, I hope the Angels give Casey Kotchman full playing time to start the year.

Last year, the guy had undetected mono, so I don't think he got a real shot to show what we could do. Ended up in the hospital for about a month or more I think.

I thnk he should play just about every day the first two months to see how he performs.

personally...i thought the angels would let him and morales battle it out to play 1b, but with the signing of hillenbrand...im not too sure they are going to go this route anymore...but hopefully we will see plenty of kotchman and morales this year...

I agree the Angels will allow Kotchman and Morales to battle it out again this spring, but its Kotchman's job to lose.

Assuming Kotchman wins, he'll play first as he is much better with the glove then Hillenbrand.

If Morales wins, Hillenbrand will start more at 1b while Morales DHs.

All bets are off once Rivera returns, but that looks like the All Star break at the soonest.

I really hope they dont let hillenbrand play, although that seems unlikely seeing as how they gave him so much money. It looks like whoever has the best spring will end up at 1st...
