Looking for some help with Orioles minor leaguers

Postby clarence worley » Fri Jan 19, 2007 11:11 am

Hey guys, I'm looking for some help in identifying the top 20 minor leaguers in the Orioles system. For the particular league I'm in, players with under 500AB or 200IP are still considered minor leaguers. I've never been too into the minors until recently, so any help that you could provide would be MUCH appreciated. I've searched and gone through all the free sites I could find, but I think the cafe might be the best resource. Here's my list so far.

Brandon Erbe (BAL), Bill Rowell (BAL), Pedro Beato (BAL), Garrett Olson (BAL), Radhames Liz (BAL), Nolan Reimold (BAL), Kieron Pope (BAL), Pedro Florimon (BAL), Jason Berken (BAL), James Hoey (BAL), Hayden Penn (BAL), Brandon Snyder (BAL), Adam Loewen (BAL), Chris Ray (BAL)

Also, a pm with a link to shortsavage's website would be appreciated, as it appears to have been removed by the moderator.

Nick Markakis only had 491 ABs so he is technically a prospect

150(I think) AB's or more take away rookie eligability.

Markakis isn't a prospect anymore.

He is under the OP guidelines.

I'd reference http://attheplate.com/2007/07_rookiea.htm and look under BAL to get a good idea of the top 20. I'd reference BA, BP, John Sickels and FantasyInfoCentral (biased on this rec.)

Beyond this, I'd recommend purchasing a membership to baseball america if you're REALLY into very deep prospect analysis. Otherwise, http://www.minorleagueball.com provides an acceptable free begining.

Thanks for the tips. Markakis is still considered a prospect in my league with 491 AB's (500 is the limit), but I wouldn't have realized if you hadn't said something, so I owe you one!
