Alright, this is the second year of my leagues keeper system. So this will be the first draft where keepers will be taken into account. We've always just done a live draft on Yahoo in previous years, and that's what everyone wants to do again this year. Now, do I just go on the honor system for people to draft their own keepers in the first 6 rounds? What would be a reasonable punishment for someone snagging someone else's player or snagging an unkept player too early? Is there a different type of online draft program where I could set the first six rounds and then we pick up from there?
Also, is there any way to set the draft order for this season? Somehow, I've ended up with the first pick in 4 out of the last 5 years and many of the other managers are understandably ticked off about it. We discussed possibly going in reverse order of the finish last year, but I don't think this is possible with Yahoo. Any suggestions? Thanks guys.
Can't remember which one we used but test each and see which one you like.
As for the keepers on Yahoo. We never did keepers with Yahoo but it's possible. You can type in the first three rounds ahead of time. Maybe it's more than three but YES, Yahoo allows for pre-entered keepers (Might only be in Baseball Plus leagues, tho).
My Friendliness bar...recently shrunk from 11.3 to 10mm long!!

Yes, with Yahoo Plus leagues you can enter the entire leagues keepers long before the draft. Then, when the draft begins, the appropraite players are on their correct teams.
Having tried it the way you describe led to horrible results for us. We wasted many a Yahoo league trying to make it work, but someone would always mess it up, which effectively ruins the rest of the draft.

That's exactly what I was afraid of. I guess we'll be upgrading to a plus league this year. Thanks for all the input guys. I really appreciate the help.
Good info. I'm still leaning towards the plus league however because of the ability to enter the keepers ahead of time. I don't trust some of the guys in my league not to mess it up. Plus, getting stattracker would be pretty cool.
After all of the problems that Yahoo had with Stattracker, my league is going back to the free basic Yahoo this year. Don't base going to PLUS on getting Stattracker. If it's worth the money to make sure the first few rounds don't get screwed up, then do it. It may be cheaper to send a reminder email every single day that when they set up their prerankings they must put their 6 keepers at the top of their rankings.
