We have been running our league on yahoo for about 5 years now. I was wondering if there were any worthwhile advantasges to going plus, other than statracker.

Any help would be nice.

we are upgrading our league to a plus league this year. The main reason is for the Stat-Tracker. The second reason is we will be going with the one W one L format instead of wins and losses for all categories accumulating for the year. (Ex win 18-2 week 1, lose 11-9 next week gives you 29-11 record) I do not know what other benefits are, but since i buy stat tracker each year it will cost me the same money I already spent in our $10 entry league.

Thanx, I duno if i like the win loss thing or not, but I heard somewhere where they split u into two divisons, is that true?

Since this is our first year as a plus league in baseball, I do not know the answer to your question. Once we are able to sign up I will let you know.

I do know that in our Football League (mainly the same players) The plus league allows you the option of forming divisions. It is not required! Even though there were sperate divisions there was still inter-divisional play, just more games vs division opponents.

We determined the divisions by draft order. Odds number first round picks in division 1, even numbered picks in division 2.

This season will be our 4th in Baseball Plus. Our manager fees are $45 each. The Plus fee is $125. We like Plus because the commish (me) signs on and everyone is hooked up. It helps everyone start at the same level playing field from Day 1.

Also, there are features that are kinda cool like the Buzz Index. This tells you which players are hot and which are not. We also can see which players are the most popular waiver claims for a given day. This helps alot when looking for a serviceable player but have no idea who is heating up. This feature is not available for free. There are other features which are valuable but last season was a long time ago.

We like Plus alot and won't go back to regular Yahoo. I recommend you give a season. You will like it.

just switched to PLUS last year after 3 years of non-plus. definitely recommend it since stattracker is a near MUST HAVE in baseball (football, not so much). With a ten team group, everyone spends $12.50 and gets all of the benefits of statracker and much more, so an extra $2.50 for that isn't too shabby (from the usual $10 fee) - especially if you're already charging a $100 entry fee or what have you...give a try and see.

My 5x5 roto keeper league went to Plus in 06 and loved it. The ability to pre-enter our keepers (thus starting our draft with all keepers already on the correct rosters) was the key selling point and it worked great.

Now, if Yahoo Plus will just add a function to where the league can operate year round, allowing for trades, etc during the offseason, I'll never leave.
