How do you play FPS: Keyboard Setup

So most people seem to play with W,A,S,D setup but I don't

I use Delete for Left, End for Down, Page Down for Right, Home for UP, Insert for Lean Left, and Page Up for lean right.

Then I use the Number pad on the right to assign things like Flashlights, Reload.

\ Key is usually crouch, Enter key is usually prone, Ctrl is usually Jump.


Anyways I enjoy setting it up like this because I find it easier to distinguish where I am on the keyboard .

The Movement keys are seperate from the Jump/Prone keys which are seperate from my inventory keys.

I suggest trying it out I really enjoy playing like this

I might be the only one in the world that does this but with this set up, you never have to lift your fingers when moving around.

mouse button 2 = forward
a = left strafe
s = back
d = right strafe
f = use
space = jump
caps lock = run
shift = crouch
control = prone
r = reload
mouse button 1 = primary attack
mouse button 3 = secondary attack
mouse scroll = change weapon

Then everything else depending on the game. I've used this set up for years and the reason why I prefer the mouse button 2 as forward is, your transition from going forward/back is uninterrupted and be very precise. I guess it may be a practice thing but I had a tough time with Oblivion since you can't use my set up.

Be warned however, if you play A LOT like I did with Counter Strike, you will wear out your mouse button and will need to replace your mouse every year or so.
