Wiggy and McClung Avoid Arbitration

Rays sign Wiggy and McClung to an extension and avoid arbitration. Wiggy gets a huge jump to 2.25 million and Seth gets 750,000.

decent deal on McClung if he can actually live up to his potential.
and 2.25 on a platoon player, but i am glad we held onto him.
I still hate the fact that Norton is playing first base...

I honestly believe that Norton will DH and Wiggy will play 1st, i don't think Gomes will come back like he was playing earlier.

they can do:
1B: Iwamura
2B: Cantu
3B: Upton
SS: Zorbist
DH: Wigginton
and then if upton falters you can just switch things around
and any idea when Longoria is going to move up?

Longoria def won't get called up til at the earliest Sept, prob next ST. If anything with what you have above i move Upton to 1st and have Aki at 3rd, better D and better arm

You can't put our best fielder at first base. Iwamura will be OK with the bat, but his glove should be outstanding for us this year at 3rd base. I would have Upton at DH and Wigginton at first.
