Elijah Dukes was arrested for possession of Marijuana, He was driving and was pulled over for playing loud music and the police noticed an odor coming from the car and found marijuana. Another step back for a guy with so much talent.
Thats BS, smell isnt propable cause in florida anymore.
But he could of been out of state...
lets just hope its not a Josh Hamilton and now he has to go do coke and go to drug rehab...
come on a lil weed never hurt anyone.

It was here in Tampa. Once he is pulled over they can search you for anything, trust me

they passed a law where they have to see it in order to search.
they can ask. which they probally did and dukes not knowing his rights probally said yes.

Exactly. Thats my point, people don't know there rights and cops get around anything by using that to their advantage

blah. We should have traded him for some relief pitching while we had the chance. Now he has to produce in spring training to be tradeable again.

I know. The problem was his knee injury, people were still skeptical and wanted to work him out before they traded for him
I love every player on the Rays, against the law or not he shoudnt have been doing it in the 1st place. Just stay sober and clean and the fans or players or coaches wont have to worry about a thing. Just play the game.
I found out more of the story. So the cops heard the music and came over to the car, they didn't say anything about drugs and didn't ask to search and dukes said "You aren't going to arrest me for a little pot are you?" After he alerted them to fact he had pot then they searched the car. Way to go Dukes, why didn't you just cop to killing someone will you were at it
