I went with Big Mac. He's probably not the best 1b ever, no. But I've never seen half of the guys on that list play an inning at all. He did hit 70 Homers in a season, and revived the game of baseball when baseball was at one of it's worst points ever. To me, thats worth something.

Unquestionably Lou Gehrig is the greatest 1st baseman of all time.

- 476 homers (would have been over 500 if not for his fatal illness)
- 2721 career hits
- .340 lifetime average
- 1995 RBIs
- .447 OBP

Incredible stats, plus won 8 World Series.
