Not sure if I agree. Murray was the dominant 1B of his era. He played in an era where 34 HR would lead the league. I agree his "peak value" is nowhere near the other great 1B but his "career value" is very high. He did finish in t he top 10 in the MVP voting 8 times
. That's pretty impressive. Don Sutton never did that well in CY Young voting.
