Wow, thats all i have to say about the graphics. I just set up my 1080p westinghouse yesterday, popped in MLB 2K7 and I was blown away. I cant understate how awesome these graphics are, best Ive seen on the 360, besides maybe Gears. The game is very new to me as I used to play MLB 06: The Show, which is a great game but I dont have a PS3 :,-( . If any of you could help me with something, Is hitting purely timing? or do you need to aim with something. I'm only playing on Pro but I got beat twice so far. Have fun, maybe we could start a Cafe League ;-D ;-D ;-D

I learned how to throw strikes and win. If you paint the black with changeups then the other user will pop up the pitch or roll over. Just use the catcher to help you locate the outer edge,

I've been playing a franchise with the Marlins thus far and the only problem I've noticed is relief pitching gets bombed on legendary, now I realize the Marlins don't exactly sport the great bullpen known to man, but I swear I've givin' up 7 run leads twice and givin up two grandslams in the first inning I bring a reliever in to pitch.

Tankersly and Martinez are my only respectable relievers at this point. Tank has a 3.78 ERA and Martinez a 2.08. Mitre, Renyel, and Messenger are all above 7.00.

Also Hanley Ramirez has been beasting it thus far, guy is going to set the record for doubles in a season, has 18 through 16 games, including two 4 double games(tying the single game record).

He and Jacobs are my only two inflated offense guys stat wise everyone else is relatively fine, which is kind of weird because right now Hanley is batting .473 and Jacobs .364 with 6 HR's and 16 RBI's, now you could chalk up Jacobs #'s as a legitmate hot start, but with Hanley I don't know what I'm going to do if he's batting .470 30+ games into the season, I don't want everyone else's #'s falling by changing the sliders because I'm beasting it with Hanley.

I agree. Duaner and Heilman (Both in high 70s to low 80s) both have ERAs of about 15 through about 10 games. It is quite annoying.

I ordered the game and it should be here in another day or two, and I was just curious, how much work is there to be done on it, like how much roster changes, name edits, etc.???
Thanks to soty for this sig

If anyone has good sliders for All-Star please post them or PM me, thanks a lot.

These were made by a guy at 2ksports forum called NJ Papi1977. I've used them for a couple games and they've worked pretty well for me.

Ok guys I am about to release a whole new batch....Before I post them I want people to know something. What may work for some may not for others. I have worked hard and long to try and get the balance of the game to feel right. It has not been easy but it has been fun. What I am about to provide you with is what I feel is a good balance to me but you can use it as your ground for your personal preferance. Play the game more then 1 or 2 games before you start scramin bloody murder about them. You can give up 10 runs and 5 homers in game 1 but it does not mean it will happen in the next game. Give the sliders a chance to show you that they balance out in the long run.

Please make sure you use the exact sliders and settings I am about to provide for a total of 5 games. From there on you can AIM me on suggestions and I will work with you on an individual basis to get the game to play how you want it to based on my base sliders.

Here we go:

Control Settings:

Batting Camera: Classic
Zoom: 0 (You can put this at any zoom you want but I feel that at 0 it is very good)
Pitching Camera: Behind Pitcher
Pitching Interface: Payoff (I will test out Zoom and Zoom 2 which makes pitching location much harder)
Pitch Point: BreakPoint ( This must be at breakpoint...At Pinpoint pitching becomes to easy)
Batting Interface: Swing Stick ( Classic can be used but please dont complain to me about to easy to hit homers)
Batter's Eye: Off ( This has to be off because with it on you can tell where the ball will go and hit easily)
Batter's Eye Feedback: Off
Vibration: Off ( This will make it harder to pitch corner and hit locations with ease)
Auto-Round Bases: On
Assisted BaseRunning: On ( If you keep it off then your CPU Baserunner will stop at every base making you move them on your own and loosing precious time to score)
Smart Throw: On
Auto-Reselect Fielder: Off ( You should be able to contol what fielder you want to field the ball)
Hold Runners: Smart Hold
Catcher Suggestions: On or Off ( For more of a challenge keep it off and it makes pitching harder because you wont have the catcher telling you where to throw based on Inside Edege tendencies which makes the cpu less able to hit you)
In-Game Tips: Off

Game Settings:

Inside Edge: On or Off
Catcher Cam: On or Off
Arguments: On
Ball Indicator: Dynamic (If you choose Locked then the ball indicator will be locke and it will just require you to go to the spot and its a catch. With Dynamic the ball can be picked up by wind making it harder to catch it and makes you twist and bend to make the catch... One of the best features in this game)
Auto Dive Back: On
Fielder Speed Boost: Off ( This is cheesey play) Reminds me of turbo in NBA Jam
Broken Bat Frequency: Sometimes
In-Game Help: Off

Game Setup:

Length of Game: 9 innings
Designated Hitter: AL Hosting
Ejections: On
Injuries: On
Pitcher Fatigue: On
Active Bullpen: On
Inside Edge Reminder: On or Off

Presentation General:

Action Replay Freq: Often
Inning Highlights: On
Player Hightlights: On
Cutscenes: On
Strike Zone: Always Off (This must be removed if you want real sim)
Pitch Break Indicator: Off or On
TopLine Dropdowns: On
Score Ticker: On
Keep Fielder in View: On or Off
Ball Trail: Off
Challenge Notification: On
Hr Innings Notification: On
Player Icon: Name

Player Options:

Game Difficulty: Custom
Batter Contact: 40
Batter Power: 20
Batter Influence: 20
Power Swing: 0 (This will reduce the high amount of homers hit...Still can hit homers but at a real rate)
Step Influence: 55 ( This will make it easier for those having issues with swing stick)
Pitcher Difficulty: 100 (This makes it harder for you to hit the top pitchers which is realistic...Does not apply to weaker pitichers)
Batter Bunt Assistance: 25
Batter Bunt For Hit: 30
Runner Baserunning Speed: 60
Runner Stealing Success: 55
Infielder Errors: 40
Outfielder Errors: 50
Infielder Speed: 20
Outfielder Speed: 35
Catcher Throw Speed: 70
Infielder Throw Speed: 20
Outfielder Throw Speed: 30
Infielder Reaction Speed: 45
Outfielder Reaction Speed: 45
Fielder Speed Burst Length: 30
Fielder Speed Burst Power: 20
Fielding Aggression: 40
Pitcher Fatigue: 35
Pitcher Interface Speed: 85 ( This slider is for the pay off pitch icons and pitch selection icons... makes them dissapear faster and also when you are tense the ball moves around faster as well)
Injuries: 50
Pitch Speed: 90 (This can be put no lower then 90..If you do then it will make it much easier to hit the cpu....)

A.I General Options:

Game Difficulty: Custom
AI Infield Errors: 55
AI Outfield Errors: 60
AI Infield Speed: 20
AI Outfielder Speed: 45
AI Catcher Throw Speed: 80
AI Infielder Throw Speed: 0 (This makes it harder for the cpu to throw you out when they dive for balls)
AI Outfielder Throw Speed: 35
AI Fielding Aggression: 10
AI Throwing Aggression: 75
AI Hit 'N Run: 40
AI Sacrifice Bunt: 65
AI Squeeze: 25
AI Run Aggression: 70
AI Stealing Success: 75
AI Steal 2nd: 75
AI Steal 3rd: 40
AI Steal Home: 10
AI Diveback: 45 (Makes it easier to pick off a baserunner once in a while)

AI Batting Options:

Game Difficulty: Custom
AI Batters Use Inside Edge: On
AI Take Strike Overall: 35
AI Take Strike Ahead: 85
AI Take Strike Behind: 45
AI Take Ball Overall: 65
AI Take Ball Ahead: 75
AI Take Ball Behind: 35
AI Skill: 100 ( This is set at 100 because pitching is to easy and this makes you have to be more on point with your pitchers and not allow you to keep a pitcher in who is fatigued)
AI Contact: 45
AI Power: 50
AI Bunt For Hit: 60
AI Pitcher Difficulty: 10 (This will make it harder for you to dominate the cpu hitters...Makes you have good pin point and pitch selection intelligence)
AI Effectiveness Mod: 100 ( This will punish you if you keep tired pitchers in the game makes you use your manager skills and bring in situation pitchers and what not)

A.I Pitching Options:

Game Difficulty: Custom

AI Pitchers Use Inside Edge: On ( Turn it off so that you can change the greyed out AI Change Speed to 100 then go back and change it to ON)
AI Corner: 60
AI Change Speed: 100 ( This makes the pitchers fool you more with off speed stuff and fast balls...)
AI Throw Strike Overall: 25
AI Throw Strike Ahead: 25
AI Throw Strike Behind: 70
AI Fatigue: 55 ( If you work the counts vs stud pitchers you can get to them in the 7th and 8th innings)
AI Pickoff: 50
AI Pitchout: 70
AI Meat Pitch: 10

Ok guys this is my latest and best set so far. Remember what I wrote and try them for a set of 5 games. Also dont always play with your best pitcher and dont play against the cpu's best pitchers. Try going with both 3rd starters or 5th starters to see the difference.

It depends how in-depth you want to get with edits. There's a lot of prospects to edit names, but I've found the rosters are fairly accurate, with most of the FAs being scrubs anyways.

yeah im going to have to try some sliders...i hit alot of jacks and pitching is too easy for me...me and my buddy have a franchise going and we face each other in the next series. we still havent played each other because he had to get another controller (left the other one at home). im curious to see how the pitching meter is playing someone else. wouldnt the release thing give away where the pitch was. (im talking about the hold, then release, then hit circle thing, not the locator before you select your pitch.
