Steve Finley - Might be time to pick him up.

I had Steve Finley on my fantasy team last year and he was probably one of my biggest disappointments. After having a career year in 2000 with 35 HR's, 94 RBI's, and 12 SB while batting .280(and that was with some injuries at the end of the year), he responded with a dismal year in 2001, with only 14 HR's, .275, in 495 AB's.

But Steve Finley is a solid veteran, and it looks as though he's back full stride this year. He might be a free agent in many leagues, and if your league is deep, or you're desperatley looking to fill in a last offensive slot, consider his 2000 numbers and decide if you'd want those stats on your team. He could even EXCEED those numbers if he stays healthy the whole year.

Great tip! You're right - here's a guy who was written off, or even forgotten, by far too many fantasy players. I have to admit he was barely on my radar this pre-season, either...
