Stewart's value in the OF = poor. There are probably 40 other OFs in the Minors I would take OVER Stewart in the OF.

OK OK, so I exaggerated a bit. He'll still be young at 22 to start the season in AAA, but he really has some serious contact issues he needs to fix. His K numbers are bad but not horrible (about 22% at AA last season), but he has a tendency to make some awful contact as a byproduct of taking WAY too many pitches early in the count. He is not aggressive enough, and he gets behind early and is forced to swing at borderline offspeed stuff, causing weak contact. He's got the tools to be a good ballplayer, but he has some serious changes he needs to make to his game to reach some of his potential. In my opinion, Stewart should be ranked right around Kouzmanoff on prospect lists, and you are not going to see Kouz near my top 50 - I'd say Stewart belongs around 70-80. He had a great full season debut in '04, sure, but two seasons of the same thing do not earn you top 50 status.
