Venezuelan Winter League

Dioner Navarro, C -- Navarro hit .231 with a homer and 14 RBIs in 147 at-bats. His last game was on Dec. 13.

Marcos Carvajal, RHP -- Carvajal finished his strong Winter League campaign on a sour note, allowing two runs on two hits in one inning. Still, the 22-year-old was 4-5 with two saves and an impressive 2.19 ERA in 37 innings.

Edwin Jackson, RHP -- Jackson went 3-2 with a 1.60 ERA over 45 innings. His last outing was on Dec. 14, when he allowed two runs on four hits and two walks with six strikeouts in four frames.

Dominican Winter League

Joel Guzman, INF -- Guzman batted .241 with two home runs for the Estrellas Orientales.

Shawn Riggans, C -- Riggans collected two hits in 14 at-bats for the Tigres del Licey.

Good to see EJax pitching well, Guzman struggling is not something i want to see, if he is struggling there what will happen in AAA this year.

It is great to see Jackson pitching better. Hopefully he can continue that for the Drays this summer.

I just hate that dionner is batting worse, I expected him to do better, but who knows he might do better in the season.

My old projections were like .260avg 10hr 50rbi and as always a good defensive season, but if he keeps playing the way he has thats not going to happen.

Its a shame cause he is good and young imo

It is a little disheartening to see the average that low. The scouting on him says he is supposed to hit for average and have power to the gaps to get those doubles. You also have to remember this guy is stioll very young and has been moved all around and rushed to play. I think the more time he plays int he bigs the better he will be.

I agree completley. When he gets to around 26 years old in 4-5 years or so, with his defensive skills and some better hitting average he could turn into an all-star catcher.
