This attempt is a list comiled with weight heavily on 2006 stats. Other considerations are age, injury risk, team, off-season transitions and ballpark. Please comment on adjustments that should be made or if anyone is missing. Thanks.
I'd certainly have Cain at least top 20. I'd also be tempted to drop Webb a couple of notches- he hasn't been giving ace-level performance for quite as long as the Oswalts and Halladays, so I don't rate him as quite as safe a bet. I'd have Smoltz at seven or eight rather than three, I think.
Kazmir I'd bump up 4-5 slots as well. I can't think of anything else glaring at first glance, though I might pick up on something more later.

Also, I think Anthony Reyes is going to be good next year. He's not getting a lot of notice becuase the Cards didn't give him much of a shot until the playoffs, but he's got good stuff and he's pretty much guaranteed a rotation slot by default. The only risk there is injury.
I think I'd put Zaka in the Lackey/Sheeths/Schilling range and I'd in retrospect, Reyes either right at the end or not on the list (although he should still be drafted. )
Another guy to take later: Greg Maddux. His numbers should be at least as good as Glavine's.

In retrospect I can see moving smoltz down a few, and moving oswalt to #3, but I can't see moving halladay ahead of webb when their wins, era, and whip are about the same, but halladay registers alot less k's. As for harden, he is too big of an injury risk and 2006 stats were not good enough for this list.

Dittos to these; Also, I'd have J. Garland on instead of F. Garcia.
To tell you the truth, I didn't want to put any white sox pitcher on the list (which garcia is not anymore), but I'd substitute contreras before garland.
