This is obviously assuming that Scotty Pods won't break camp ready to play LF with the team, and i think with how they feel that he rushed back last year (and thus suffered a season-long slump), this is probably accurate. They also talk about about Josh Fields possibly breaking camp playing LF, which if he does well in Spring Training, could mean that the CF spot might be up for grabs between Erstad and BA....but however those 4 guys play out for the 2 spots, i don't think Mackowiac will be getting much run in CF....seems like the Sox saw all they wanted of that last year.

Sweeney could make a good run in the spring and start CF. Also, I think Masset will be a valuable addition to the pen. I've heard he is doing well and Ozzie is impressed.
