The best remark I heard on the fan interference contribution to the Cubs' collapse: I must have missed the rule that says that when a fan interferes with the ball the other team automatically gets 8 runs.

Agreed.
I want to give credit to the sports talk guys on San Francisco's 680 KNBR - The Razor and Mr. T (Tom Tolbert, for you NBA watchers). First off, those two are about as classy and entertaining as you'll find in sports radio. No dumbing down, no cheap gags, just good honest fun sports talk by two genuinely funny smart guys. Anyhow, my point is they deserve tons of credit. They've been calling out other 'shock' sports talk hosts who have been calling for Bartman's head, really criticizing these guys - especially JT the Brick. Good for the Razor and Mr. T, and shame on these other sports talk hosts who are exploiting Bartman for ratings. That's absolutely pathetic.
i agree with all that but to be perfectly honest you are ignorant if you don't believe that it had nothing to do with the loss because if castillo gets out THERE IS NO RALLY!!! that said i agree with everything, i don't hate this guy in particular and i know that the team in general is just as much to blame (read- more if not all) than he is but you can't deny my first point and if you can honestly deny it then tell me why that has nothing to do with the loss. i really do want to know.
Leyland said, "We thought we were getting a hell of a player, but Neifi simply did not perform well."

En ingles por favor. The ball was out of play. IF Alou caught the ball, IF Prior made the pitches, IF Alex Gonzalez made the play at short, and IF Dusty knew when to pull his pitcher, the Cubs would have won. Putting even 1% of any blame on that fan is just wrong as any other fan would have done the same thing. Did you see other fans go for the ball? What were their names?

Debbie Bartman ....
Fred Bartman ...
Sam Bartman ... And I think there was even a Steve Bartman... All of them went for the ball. Now forever known as .... "Pulling a Bartman"
