... I mean at the worst he needs to be on the train to FLA tonight .. As soon as the press figures out who he is. His Life is over. I hope he knows that.. Move now!!!!!
The moment I saw Alou look up and yell at the guy. I turned and looked at my roomate and said "Did Ya feel that??" .. He replyed .. "no chit, you felt that too" .....
I believe in momentum, big time especially in sports. And as soon as Moises came down with out the ball, you could feel all life being sucked out of that stadium.
WOW ... That had to be the most amazing 5 minutes of baseball I have ever seen. Talk about an absolute collapse. and then the error. "The routine grounde.. " .. "Error".
I now believe in curse's ... I really do. .. How can I get one? anybody? I need one for some guys up the road in blue.
I will lay $1,000.00 Kerry lays an egg tonight. he will pulled by the 4th or 5th. There is just way to much pressure on the Cubs. and besides. McKeon's kids have all the Momentum .....
again, move tonight kid. don't give the press a heads up. It's probably too late.
You're right - that was an unbelievable ballogame, and you have to feel sorry for that kid. As Alou himself said, a Cubs win in game 7 would make his life a whole lot easier...
What a dork! 26-year old male fan. He had to be escorted out of the stadium. What a dork. and why is he wearing headphones, I mean, what's this sucker listening to? <img src=/forums/images/smiles/kiss.gif>

I think it's not so much the curse, but the weight of the fans' belief of the curse. The Sox have been able to avoid the weight of it, until recently.
The Cubs just felt it again.
It's amazing whatt expectation of failure can do. But as a Sox fan, I truly believe we can pull out two games in New York. Yes, I know the odds are long, but so were the odds against the Sox in '86, the Sox against the A's, the Marlins to pull it to the 7th game.
Crazier stuff has happened. Perhaps Nomar remembers how to hit.
That has to suck for that fan. But he's not the reason they lost it. Dusty did it again. Thinking Prior is a superman, he left him in in the 8th inning with no one up in the bullpen. From the first pitch, you could tell that Prior was tired. He was up at 110 pitches, after 115 (unnecessary) pitches in his last outing. He yanked a few curveballs into the dirt, and he was laboring on the mound.
But Dusty didn't get someone going in the bullpen until the bases were already loaded. Ridiculous. I hate that guy.
If you bring in Remlinger to face Pierre and Castillo, then Farnsworth to face Pudge and Lee, you get out of that inning with no more than 1 run scored.

Yup. But people love a goat (no pun intended). Buckner wasn't the only reason we lost game six. How about Stanley? Or the fact that it was only game 6? People forget these things. It's too hard to look at it all together.
If the Cubs lose tonight, it won't have anything to do with Wood pitching poorly or whatever, and everything to do with that guy.

I'll agree that Dusty managed that inning badly, I mean he kept putting people on and they kept scoring ...But You can't blame Prior or Dusty not pulling Prior. Up and till the point when the poor kid toched the ball. Prior was straight up money. It had CG shutout written all over it .. The game was over!!! ... or so we thought ...
yeah we thought. i turned it off because i figured it was allready over. turns out i was wrong.
that fan will be a legend if the cubbies dont go to the series this year. too bad hell die soon afterwards. i bet the police wont even care because im sure they all hate him too. i really do wonder though, would alou have caught that ball?? it was pretty high up there. so maybe it was just prior falling apart....
